Planning and design · London
What’s possible at your address?
You don’t need to know how planning works. Tell me what you’d like to change about your home, and I’ll find out what’s realistic — honestly, and in writing — before you spend money on design.
A Scope is a fixed fee, confirmed before you commit. I read every request myself and reply within two working days.

Where are you starting from?
- I’m not sure what I want yet.More space, more light, a layout that works.
- I know what I want.An extension, a loft conversion, or changes inside. You don’t need a Scope first.
- I’m thinking of buying.Find out what a place could become before you make an offer.
- I live in a flat.Flats follow different planning rules, and the lease matters too.
- I’ve been refused. What a refusal means, and what you can do next.
A clear answer before you commit.
A Scope is a short written report about your home and your plans. It brings together the public records, the local rules and what your neighbours have already built, and tells you plainly what I think.

I’m Adam Davis, an Architectural Technologist based in Hammersmith. I studied Architectural Technology and Design at UWE Bristol and work on building projects in London. PlotScope began with a simple question I kept asking about places: is this actually worth building on? Now I help homeowners answer it for their own homes. I’m not an architect. Where your project needs a structural engineer or other specialist, I’ll bring in the right person and manage it for you.

An honest view
05Every Scope ends with an honest view. Sometimes it’s “worth pursuing”. Sometimes it’s “not worth it” — and I’ll explain why.
A Scope is an informed view of what’s likely, not a promise. The decision always rests with the council.
The Scope becomes the brief.
A few projects at a time.
I keep PlotScope small so every project gets my full attention. Tell me about your home and I’ll come back to you personally.
A Scope is a fixed fee, confirmed before you commit. I read every request myself and reply within two working days. If you go ahead with drawings within 6 months, the Scope fee comes off the drawings fee.
